What is the name of a clean, safe, inexpensive hotel in amsterdam?
i am going to be amsterdam in may of this year for a couple of days. i am looking for an inexpensive, clean place to stay while i sightsee. please recommend a place that you, personally, have stayed at i'm travelling heavy this is a lucky stopover to a longer trip to another european destination so it needs to offer more services than a hostel.
Can anyone give me any advice on how to get a crafty free room upgrade in a fancy hotel in Amsterdam?
We are going for our annaversary in a weeks time for a long weekend. I phoned the hotel asking how much it might cost to upgrade to a room with a balcony,some flowers and champagne. The woman said that the champers prices start at 70euro I said i would have a think about it as im on a budget, but i have never phoned back. But i would happily forget about the champers and flowers for a balcony room overlooking Dam square, that would really be a highlight for me. The cost for one of these rooms is approx 400euro extra on top of the expensive room we already have Amsterdam is so expensive Does anyone have any master crafty tips???Thanks folks I meant 700 euro, not 70, sorry.

Hey guys....I want to spend 3 or 4 days in Amsterdam and I would really need to find a cheap hotel motel whatever. I am thinking about spending 50 euros night for both me and my spouse And I would hate it if we had to share a small room with other people Any suggestions?
